Now What? Using G Suite in Classrooms Where Students Own their Learning

Sign up or log in to save this to your schedule, view media, leave feedback and see who's attending!

You've got the basics down for a few apps and your wheels are starting to churn. Now what? We find our WHY and build an idea to integrate a tool.

In this session, we will explore numerous ideas for the GSuite core apps in the context of a classroom where students own the learning. Whether you use a reading and writing workshop, moving towards competency-based learning, or are just looking for more student ownership, this session will move your thinking in the right direction. I'll share ideas and examples and you will have time to try some or develop your own. From student feedback surveys to reading logs, image study for vocabulary development and comprehension, collaborative spreadsheets for classroom libraries to self-monitoring goals, you will walk away with many ideas of how to apply and integrate these tools into your classroom so students can own their learning.
